We’ve all heard the phrase “it takes a village to raise a child” but less discussed is the community that mothers need to grow and thrive.

They tell us the days are long but the years are short, it all flies by, and while they’re probably right, the words don’t land the way they think they do.
From sexist or outright sexual harassing remarks to catty behaviour, I realized the female experience in the workplace is not equal to that of our male counterparts.
Just like in my workouts, I adjusted my breathing and my mentality to get through it, reset, and prepare for the next part of the session.
The key is to never, ever, let a dropped ball cause you to despair and derail.
